Haasbot 1.4 will be depreciated on April 1st, 2015

We want to announce that we will be officially depreciating the 1.4 branch of Haasbot. This is also known as the classic interface, as all of our development resources are now allocated to the Haasbot 2.0 branch. We are at a crossroads where we want to push our software to the limits and it is clear to us that the future of Haasbot is within the Haasbot 2.0 branch.

We understand that there may be users who prefer the Classic Interface, but you must understand that it requires too much of our time to implement changes to both interfaces and we want to move forward with innovative features and improvements. We have a lot of things that we want to do and Haasbot 2.0 is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of where we will be going.

Starting on April 1st, 2015, new builds will only include Haasbot 2.0. You may still use the Classic Interface for a while but eventually that version will stop working due to our DRM measures. We understand that a small percentage of our users will not like this, but Haasbot 2.0 is the future of Haasbot.

We hope that everyone understands this and is excited for whats going next!

Haasbot 2.1 has been released

Welcome to Haasbot 2.1. We are pleased to announce that we are releasing this somewhat major update! There are quite a few changes as well as the much anticipated integration with the whiteserver network. This release also addresses the issues that users had with Cryptsy, so you guys should be good to with this.

In addition, we are going to start powering on with more beta builds for Haasbot 2.1.1, so get ready beta testing team! We have very ambitious plans, such as speeding up the price polling to around 1 second. This will be an option, as it will require more CPU resources, but we will finally be able to allow users to do some real time trading with haasbot! This is a big step for us and it will push our whiteserver network to the limit 🙂 We would also like to announce that we have gotten half of the exchanges we support to whitelist our whiteservers, which will enable us to get going with real time trading. I cannot give an ETA on this yet, but thats the direction we are heading. We will also be adding orderbook data for the marketview page, as well as for the trade bots, so you will have everything you need to do manual trades via the marketview page.

Changed:
[Exchanges] TestAPI removed (please use the SandboxAPI instead)
[Exchanges] Virtex support dropped
[Arbitrage-bot] On request the default response is set to stop the bot if a arbitrage-route fails
[FrameWork] Native price tracking made optional to use
[Indicator] CCI made available for Simple licenses
[Indicator] IchimokuClouds made available for Simple licenses
[Marketview] Left side has undergone a complete transformation. (we added Lines, Fibonacci Fans and Fibonacci Resentment for now)

New features:
[Framework] Push price server implemented (and activated by default)
[Arbitrage-bot] Option added to select what to do at failed arbitrage trading route
[Indicator] (P)SAR added
[Indicator] Bollinger Bands added
[Indicator] SlowRSI added (this is a SMA over an RSI)
[Indicator] FastRSI added (this is a EMA over an RSI)
[Indicator] WeightedRSI added (this is a WMA over an RSI)
[Dashboard] All the lights are now clickable. They will lead you to the cause of the light.
[Dashboard] Extended filter with a sort function (A-Z & Z-A)
[Dashboard] Bots are now draggable. Function can be enabled in the filter-popup

Enhancements:

[Exchange] Bittrex Order Tracking is fixed.

Whiteserver Network Maintenance and Data Collection

As you are aware, we have been working very hard to speed up our price collection methods, which resulted in the whiteserver network development. The whiteserver network works as a collection of PUSH servers for price data that relay prices from the exchanges through the closest whiteserver to the Haasbot client. In order to maintain the network of whiteservers, we have to collect a bit of data from each whiteserver. We want to be as open and transparent as possible about what we collect and what your options as are a customer.

Basically, we collect data on the number of users that are connected on a particular whiteserver, the number of users using a particular exchange, and the overall number of users connected to our whiteserver network. All of the users are completely anonymized and we do NOT collect data on which currency pairs users are currently trading. Additionally, we do NOT collect data on indicators/volume of trades used via haasbot or anything like that, as this could give us an unfair advantage.

We understand that there are always privacy concerns within the cryptocurrency space and we want to be absolutely clear about what we do and do not collect. Additionally, we only want to collect as much anonymized data as possible in order for us to maintain the whiteserver network and we want to make sure that we do not have access to information that could give us an unfair advantage in the cryptocurrency markets.

If you feel that you do not want to utilize the whiteserver network due to your privacy preferences, you can disable the usage of the whiteserver network by right clicking on Haasbot in the system tray, click on Settings, click on API Drivers, then enable “Native Price Tracking.” By doing this, you will no longer use the whiteserver network, but you may see performance losses as the whiteserver network does provide a number of performance increases.

If you have any questions or comments, please let us know, as we take our customers’ privacy and security extremely seriously.

Haasbot 2.1 Development Update

We just wanted to give you guys an update on where we are, since we have been quiet recently but we have been working hard on the whiteserver and the beta. Basically, we will be having two beta builds which will be released one after the other. The first beta build is to test the durability and performance of the whiteserver. Once we have seen how this performs, we will either scale up our whiteservers in preparation for a release and then release the second beta to double check that everything is working as intended or we will fix any issues we have and then release the second beta build.

To test the beta, just shoot me (Phillis) a PM on our forums and I will add you to the beta testing forum group and you will find instructions/a build once we have released it.

This beta build also includes some changes and some bug fixes. Below is a list of changes/fixes:

Virtex is no longer supported due to withdraw issues

Due to the recent news about Virtex not honoring withdraws, we have decided to suspend our support for their exchange. We have been trying to get in touch with both the CEO and owner of Virtex, which previously was very quick and easy. We wanted to give them some time to get back to us before we take action, as there could be a number of reasons for this and we don’t want to act too hastily. Unfortunately, we have not heard anything back and we must always look to protect our users from exchanges that don’t protect their customers.

We highly advise that you guys DO NOT USE Virtex, as it appears that you cannot withdraw fiat or coins. Our next update will exclude Virtex from the API Driver list, but since Virtex is currently enabled, we ask that you do not trade there or if you are going to trade there, you are aware of the withdraw situation.

If you want to follow the reports of this, here are a few of the threads relating to Virtex users’ inability to withdraw:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=923518.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=923337.0
https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/2uq3oa/anyone_else_having_problems_with_virtex/

We will re-enable support to Virtex if they can resolve their withdraw issues, but until then, we will leave their exchange disabled from the next build on.

The whiteserver will resolve a lot of chart/data issues (speed wise) and we are working hard to get this in as soon as possible.

As part of our promise, we will be crediting all users with 7 days of free time. We will add that time tomorrow, so if in a few days, your license time is the same, please let us know so we can correct it.

During usage, you should notice slight improvements too, as we will be working on the server side this weekend.

Haasbot 2.0 has been released!

Haasbot 2.0 is now available to all Haasbot users!

We are proud to announce that Haasbot 2.0 is now live! To update, simply right click on the Haasbot icon in your system tray, then click “Check for updates.” Follow the instructions and you will be upgraded to Haasbot 2.0.

Haasbot 2.0 has a multitude of new features, such as the completely redesigned interface, new indicators, new pages for monitoring orders and much more!

Haasbot 2.0 Ichimoku Clouds

Keep in mind, Haasbot 2.0 will not initially have the white server integrated. We are working to get that running to our standards so that your trading experience is the best possible.

New Features
– New advanced license indicators: Ichimoku Clouds, Fibonacci Retracements, and Elliot Wave Prediction.
New Order View Page: Displays all queued, executing, and completed orders.
Marketview Page: Execute orders in a snap while watching the charts.
Price Comparison Page: View all the different exchanges prices for a particular currency pair that you are connected to.
Dashboard Page: View all of your bots in action! Live trades and quickly activate and deactivate bots.

Changes
– We will be slowly depreciating support for the 1.3.x/1.4.x versions of Haasbot. That means we will focus future development to Haasbot 2.0. If you are a fan of the 1.3.x/1.4.x Classic Interface, then you can revert back to that version and use that, but keep in mind that within a few months, we will fully stop supporting it. We advise you to check out the 2.0 interface and to try to become accustomed to it.

We hope that you enjoy Haasbot 2.0 and be sure to submit any questions, bug reports, or concerns on our forum. We will do what we can to accommodate your needs/requests.
